We are currently working exclusively with a primary school in Kings Heath who are seeking a skilled and caring EYFS and Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team, starting in September 2023 for a full academic year.

About the role
As a EYFS and Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and social development of the student. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing support and assistance to students throughout the school day, both in the classroom and during specific activities
Implementing personalized learning plans and strategies to meet the students' individual needs and learning goals
Promoting positive behaviour management techniques and implementing strategies to support the student's emotional well-being
Collaborating closely with the class teacher and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Monitoring and recording the students' progress and providing feedback to the teacher and parents/guardians regularly
Assisting with classroom activities, including preparing materials, facilitating small group work, and supporting the student's participation in group activities
Building a positive and trusting relationship with the students, establishing a safe and nurturing environment for their learning
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
Have a genuine passion for working with EYFS and Key Stage 1 pupils
Possess relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably supporting students in EYFS and Key Stage 1
Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers, parents/guardians, and external professionals
Display patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach, ensuring the students' well-being and emotional needs are met
Hold relevant qualifications or certifications in special educational needs, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
