We are seeking a knowledgeable and organised Office Manager to join a vibrant first school in Redditch to work 8am-3pm Monday-Friday (term time only). As the School Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative functions. You will be responsible for managing the school office, supervising administrative staff, and providing efficient support to students, parents, and staff members.
Responsibilities:
- Office Management: Efficiently manage the daily operations of the school office, including maintaining records, managing correspondence, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and support administrative staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service
- Student and Parent Support: Provide assistance to students and parents with inquiries, admissions, attendance, and other administrative matters
- Financial Management: Assist in budgeting, financial reporting, and the management of school finances, including invoicing and payments
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student data, attendance, and school policies
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Communication: Act as a liaison between school management, teaching staff, students, and parents to ensure effective communication
- Admissions: Assist in the admissions process, including applications, interviews, and enrolment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in office management or a similar role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Knowledge of school administrative processes and policies is a plus
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle sensitive information with discretion
