Nurture Teacher - Lozells

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking for a rewarding teaching position?

We are currently working exclusively with a primary school in Lozells who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Nurture Teacher to join their team, starting in September 2023. As a Nurture Teacher, you will be providing additional support and fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a part-time position, and the work schedule will be 3 days per week (to be discussed with the school).

About the role

As a Nurture Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of their students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for primary aged students
  • Create tailored lesson plans and resources to address individual needs
  • Provide individualized support to students, addressing learning challenges
  • Facilitate small group activities and promote social skills development
  • Offer guidance and counselling to support students' emotional well-being
  • Monitor student progress and implement interventions as needed
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and possess QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Showcase excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
