Year 1 Teacher - Small Heath

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking for a rewarding teaching position?

We are currently working exclusively with a primary school in Small Heath who are seeking a talented and motivated Year 1 Teacher to join their team, starting in September 2023 for a full academic year.

About the role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of their students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that meet the requirements of the curriculum and cater to diverse learning needs
  • Developing and implementing creative teaching strategies to promote active learning and student participation
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting individual learning goals
  • Collaborating with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular activities and events
  • Establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning, respect, and mutual support
  • Communicating effectively with parents/guardians to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification and possess QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably within Year 1 or a similar age group
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the primary curriculum and a passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Showcase excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
